Scent & Track UK: Who We Are
Scent and Track UK was set up in 2021 , and is run by Claire and Jemma, who are like-minded dog trainers who between them have extensive experience in companion dog, working dog, and sport dog training for scentwork and tracking. We initially hosted a few workshops through the year, but we have grown to running a whole host of activities including Tracking trainer CPD days, hosting specialist trainers in the detection field, creating and running our own TrackStars Scheme and our TrackStars instructor course, Scent detection and Scent Ops Trials, Manhunt event days, Puppy scent games, Scent Camp, Scent sports taster days and loads more. It’s an ever expanding list.

Claire
Claire began tracking in 2004 with her crossbreed dog Lolly. Since then, she has trained tracking with a variety of non-traditional breeds, and now runs a specialist Lost Dog Tracking consultancy, alongside her dog training business.
Claire currently works with her Lurcher Mavis as an operational Lost Dog Tracking team (and founded The Lost Dog Tracking Network, across the UK), and currently competes in IGP, where claire has represented team GB for two years in a row, and having now also qualified at FH1 is working towards her FH titles with her Belgian Malinois Avonwolf Dynamite Blitz.

Jemma
Jemma took up scentwork with her rescue dog Kimi in 2011, when looking for a fun activity suitable for an ageing dog. Seeing how much it inspired a second lease of life in Kimi, Jemma then began scentwork enrichment activities while working in rescue, and now regularly uses both scentwork and tracking with her behaviour clients.
Jemma started tracking in 2019, when she began training up with her Australian Kelpie Jenga, to become an operational lost dog search team. Seeing how much tracking benefited the dog owner relationship, she created the TrackStars scheme.
