After the success of our 2026 event, we are very pleased to announce a full weekend of scent and tracking training at the stunning Chillingham Castle, Northumberland, in association with Positively Canine.
This is a full three-day training event with opportunity to learn from scent detection and tracking expert trainers Jo, Jemma, and Claire. Training sessions will cover Scent Detection, TrackStars, and aspects of Lost Dog Tracking. In addition to active training for you and your dogs, there will be engaging theory lessons, as well as plenty of opportunity for discussion!
What’s included?
Three FULL days with theory and practical training, from 12th to 14th March 2027
Delicious lunch & refreshments each day
Castle tour
Exclusive goodie bags
A professional photographer for you to book with to capture the memories
Limited spaces: Groups are kept small to allow you the chance to progress, have more one-to-one time with each trainer, and have plenty of time for relaxed discussions (and of course, laughter too!)
There will also be an evening meal at a nearby restaurant with all the trainers, with opportunity for further discussion as well as socialising! (Please note that the cost of the evening meal is not included in the ticket price).
Handler places are £455. A £150 non refundable deposit is required to secure your place. The remaining balance is due by Friday 27th November 2026. Payment plans are available, please get in touch at Jobrook@positivelycanine.co.uk for further information or go to the link for deposit payments. Handlers may bring a Plus One person with them to spectate at a cost of £30 per day; please let us know on the booking form if this is the case.
Spectator places are £165. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Please note due to venue restrictions we cannot accommodate any additional dogs on site, so spectators MUST NOT bring any dogs with them to the venue.
Please note: this spectacular castle is very, very old, and has no additional heating beyond a single fireplace in the tea room, as well as uneven floors and steep steps throughout that cannot be avoided. You can find out more about the venue at https://chillingham-castle.com/ Additionally, be conscious that this venue is in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, with typical rural activities nearby; this may include bird scarers or shooting within the immediate vicinity.
Due to the nature of the venue, dogs should be social or neutral to attend. If you are unsure please chat with Claire, Jo or Jemma
Please note accommodation is not included.
