Set within one of the UK’s most unique historic locations, this immersive weekend is designed for anyone passionate about scentwork, tracking, and developing a stronger partnership with their dog. Whether you’re looking to progress your scent detection skills, discover tracking, or gain a deeper understanding of canine behaviour and performance, this event has something for everyone.
Three Expert Trainers – Three Full Days
Unlike many workshops, you’ll spend a full day with each trainer, allowing you to really immerse yourself in each subject, ask questions and develop your understanding without feeling rushed. Groups are kept deliberately small, giving every handler plenty of individual coaching and practical working time.
Scent Detection with Jo
Spend a full day developing your scent detection skills through engaging practical exercises and theory. Jo will help you improve your dog’s searching, build stronger handling skills and increase confidence as a scentwork team.
Tracking with Jemma
Discover the fascinating world of Scent ID tracking. Learn about both TrackStars and Lost Dog Tracking, how scent ID tracking works, and how these skills can benefit everyday dogs. You’ll also explore how tracking can improve confidence, reduce frustration, provide excellent mental enrichment and help support behaviour through appropriate outlets and natural scenting activities.
Connection, Emotions, & Mindset with Claire
Success in scentwork isn’t just about the search. Claire will explore the importance of connection within scentwork, the emotions and mindset of both dogs and handlers, and how these directly influence performance. She’ll also incorporate elements of her highly regarded Accept & Respect course, giving you practical tools to build stronger communication, confidence and teamwork.
Learn Together
Both handlers and spectators will be actively involved throughout the weekend. Expect engaging theory sessions, practical demonstrations, group discussions and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn from one another in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Notes On The Venue
This spectacular castle is very, very old, and has no additional heating beyond a single fireplace in the tea room, as well as uneven floors and steep steps throughout that cannot be avoided. You can find out more about the venue at https://chillingham-castle.com/ Additionally, be conscious that this venue is in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, with typical rural activities nearby; this may include bird scarers or shooting within the immediate vicinity.
